1.How long have you been playing basketball?
I’ve been playing ever since I could remember. My dad is a basketball coach so he got me started when I was really young.
2.What is your favorite part about the sport?
I would probably say the intensity of the game.
3.What is your least favorite part?
My least favorite part is losing games or just having a bad game personally.
4.How have the coaches shaped the team for this season?
The coaches make sure we stay intense throughout practices and carry that aggressiveness onto the court. They help point out what we need to work on and the direction we should be going as a team.
5.How has the team improved for this season in your opinion?
We have learned to carry on our intensity throughout games and practices. We have also gotten better at rebounding and our offense.
6.Do you have any pre game rituals? If so what?
I usually just listen to music before a game to focus.
7.What is the team you’re looking forward to playing against and why?
I am looking forward to playing Cal High because they are our rivals. I am also excited to play El Rancho because they are one of the best teams in the league
8.How do you feel like this season is going to go?
I feel like we are going to do a lot better than last year this season. We are ready to come out strong and fight to win.
9.How close are you with your teammates?
I would say I’m pretty close to my teammates. Over the years I have definitely opened up to them more.
10.What was one personal goal that you have for this year?
Personally I would like to score more and be a little more aggressive on offense.
11.How has your family and friends helped/supported you?
My family is a basketball family so they are usually cheering me on at my games and my dad makes sure to give me feedback after every game.
- What is your motivation?
I am very naturally competitive, but I would say that my team and family motivate me as well
13.Do you plan on going to college? If so where and why?
I do plan on going to college because I think it would be a experience and would give me more opportunities to actually decide what I want to do in life. I would like to go to Stanford or Berkeley.
14.Do you plan on playing basketball in college?
I’m not exactly sure yet but I am leaning towards yes.
15.What advice do you have for future athletes who want to play basketball or just future athletes in general for high school?
I would say to enjoy yourself because I goes by quickly. Learn to manage your time and balance between sports and school. Also play with not regrets and give it your all.
